This was the letter that Will Sutcliffe, Calderdale Ramblers footpaths officer received from Wainwright after Will had pointed out the error in his directions. The board below shows Wainwright's route
Cath, Ken and Nigel worked on a cluster of jobs around Mount Olivet Chapel and Jumble Hole.
The old Pennine Way sign showing the Wainwright diversion was lying on the floor looking very sorry for itself. The board was refurbished, with new uprights attached, at the depot.
After much discussion between ourselves and passing walkers, we decided this was the best place for the sign
The board is now installed by the chapel.
Two woodland paths were then walked out, cutback and levelled. More work is required on these paths. (Sorry no photos of paths)
