Bernard, Ian, Heidi and Ginny returned to a lane we worked on a few weeks ago. There was a good drain down one side, but we thought it would become less boggy if we reinstated the ditch on the other side. Unfortunately it was buried under brambles.
So Bernard started strimming and we starting digging.
Unfortunately the more we dug the thicker the mud became and it was not always easy to get out!
A substantial side stream was found.
But eventually a ditch was created in the hope that the path will dry out.
