TODMORDEN

Two groups out today.  Mick and Heidi drew the short straw and worked on the dark side in the cold.  They tried to sort out a drainage issue above Hauge (2 houses above the canal a mile before Tod).
Unfortunately they failed completely - no pictures!

Peter, Billie (her first work party) and Ginny enjoyed the sunshine on a path at Ashenhurst that we have worked on before.  The grass is extremely wet and muddy and there was no sign of the ditches we put in previously, so the stream had spread out and the brambles had moved over the path.  This is a job that needs checking every year!

Brambles being cut back

And a channel dug to dry out the path.

More ditches cleared out

And some of the original path exposed.

Finally some overgrown steps were discovered and cleared, leading to paths up the hillside.
