JUMBLE HOLE AND BEVERLEY

Frank S, Mo and Rich worked on the continuation of one of the Todmorden 'There and Back' routes.

Junction with Calderdale link path was waymarked.
The path down to the delightful stone Beverley Bridge was cut back and scraped.
Over hanging branches on the bridge were cut back.

Frank S went off the route (on a path down to Cow Bridge) to deal with a particularly awkward stretch over a steep drop.

The route around Beverley End was an old track, but brambles and other vegetation had encroached making the path narrow. Stretches of the path were also pretty muddy.

We cut back the brambles and then, to prevent them being just as bad in a year's time, we took out most of the roots right back to the walls.

We then cut back and scraped the path above Beverley End.

The final job was to put in a new waymark post and refurbish an existing one.

The work today was funded by Todmorden Town Council as part of improving the 'There and Back' routes.

In case you are not sure where the enigmatic settlement of Beverley End is!
