WITHENS CLOUGH RESERVOIR

A day of mud, though it didn't rain till lunchtime!  We worked on Hebden Royd path 79, which is near the Calderdale Way above Withens reservoir.  We searched the moorland for a boardwalk that Bernard remembered putting in a long time ago and eventually found it.

Bernard and Ginny got down and dirty and managed to clear a channel underneath it for quite a fast flowing stream to escape.

Bernard then replaced the missing slats

Meanwhile Mick, Lynda and Heidi put in new waymark posts further round the Sowerby Ramble and then had a go at digging more drainage channels ... while the cattle watched and waited!

Now finished and waymarked and waiting for lots of walkers (hopefully wearing wellies).
