HEBDEN BRIDGE, MAYROYD

Ian, Eleanor, Nick and Ginny worked on the 'There and Back' route between Hebden and Mytholmroyd (work funded by Hebden Royd Town Council).  To access it from the A646 we had to go up the footpath which runs beside the old Tythe Barn pub.  It required all of us to be cutting back in order to reach the stile at the top!

Ian and Eleanor went left in order to put in a new waymark post and to brighten up an old one.

Highways department are coming to remove the 3 large beech trees which have fallen across the track and are a bit more than CROWS  can manage!

Nick and Ginny attacked a tunnel of vegetation, exposing very deep mud which could only be improved by creating stepping stones!

A few steps were created, another post brightened up and some steps cleared.  Next stage is up into the woods.

Should be able to see that from the bottom
