Dick and Ray were joined by Dave Austin (great to see you Dave) to clear the path from Blake Dean which connects with the Pennine Way at Colden. Whilst it was just passable, bracken was 2 metres high in places.

Alastair and Paul worked on a set of steps above the Colden Road, leading to Mytholm Steeps. The steps all needed clearing out and new piece of revetment was put in.

Gerald and Stella continued work on the path from the Dye Works (at Midgehole) to Kitling Bridge by further cutting back and clearing the stone sections of overgrowth. There is a lot more to do:- removing mulch, clearing turnbyes, checking and improving the drainage from the stream and investigating a drain which crosses under the path higher up. According to a local we met today the whole path runs with water after rain!
