Lynda, Bernard and Rich started work on the path from Gibson Mill to Slack.
The main water problem had already been fixed so we concentrated on the points where water was encroaching on the path
We had worked on the lower part of a path by the wishing well, but had to wait for NT to deal with a fallen tree across the route higher up.
Debris was removed from the route, so from being an unused path, it should get well used now.

Water finally going down a drain instead of flowing across the path. |
This is team work, Bernard in the distance trying to get the stream to go where it should;
Lynda, in Wellington boots, clearing the drain with a spade
and, below out of sight, Rich doing the same at the lower end of the drain.
The drain was working fine when we left for a path lower down the Crags.
We had worked on the lower part of a path by the wishing well, but had to wait for NT to deal with a fallen tree across the route higher up.
The first part of the upper section of the path was clear but then it disappeared |
