CALDERDALE WAY BELOW PECKET WELL

High winds in the woods and the occasional crack of a falling branch as Gerald, Stella and Stuart finished the work on the Calderdale Way bridle path from Pecket Well down towards Kitling Bridge; causey path widened, an overgrown stile cleared, a bit of drainage sorted, some overhead branches cut back and . . . the job's a good'un!  Then we went to check  the path to Smeakin Pike which we put in a couple of years ago.  It's wearing well and just needed a bit of "housework" to clear some overgrowth.

Overgrown...
...and clear
...drier, and seepage averted

Wet and muddy.....
Always good to know your bridleway from your footpath
Fit for town shoes....

....or even a pack horse
Meantime Dick and RJ strimmed and cut back across the road

Some time later
