Eastwood, Todmorden
Dick, Gerald, RJ and Stuart made what has become an annual visit to clear paths, some of which had become almost impassable and repair a ditch damaged by cattle. Still a lot more to do, probably 2 more visits.
Before
And After
Strimmers needed here
No Problem
Right of Way blocked by new fence with old stile and waymark thrown in field.
Meanwhile, Fred and Frank H went to Hardcastle Crags to establish a path-line linking two activity areas; the 'log-circle' and the 'den site'.
The approximate line for the path was pegged-out on a temporary basis and the undergrowth cleared. The exact line of the path, especially where steps are concerned, will depend on ground conditions.
This section is steeper than it looks, so a set of steps will be built.
There is some consolidation of the tread areas to do and more steps to build as the path rises up the bank:- that's plenty of work for the forthcoming weeks!
