BRIDESTONES MOOR

On the one rainy and windy day in an otherwise exceptionally glorious month of May we chose to go to one of the highest and most exposed locations in the Calder Valley at Bridestones near Todmorden. Team 1 consisted of Bernard, Ken, Gerald and Nigel repairing the access point at Eastwood Lane by inserting some steps off the road, putting chippings down and doing minor repairs to a boardwalk. Meanwhile Mick and Eleanor set off across the moor to replace some waymark posts and were not to be seen again until well after lunch.
