We worked on a mud and drainage problem on the Churn Milk Joan route at Midgley, Heights Rd to Raw Lane. The route is to be used on the Walkers are Welcome weekend. We re-routed a stream away from the path, but judging the way the cows were watching us it may not be a permanent repair.
We also widened the path by cutting back the gorse and then erected a post alerting walkers to the 'hundred steps' path which goes from Brearley wood to Midgley Road.
