HEPTONSTALL, CRIMSWORTH

Fred and Frank started from Widdop Gate and, looking uncannily like of a pair of itinerant decorators, battled across the tussocky wastes of Heptonstall Moor to the trig point. The route chosen was adventurous and, due to what is now called 'the Goonoo variation', somewhat longer than strictly necessary!  The trig was painted (see pictures) and a less calorie demanding route taken for the return journey.

After painting.
Bernard and Dave worked on two jobs near Outwood. Some steps were put in to get around an drainage problem and a very awkward stone stile was sorted .

Stuart, Stella and Paul put in two finger posts, one down to Lumb Falls and the other at the start of the path to wheat Ings. 15 metres of path widening completed.
