REDACRE & DAISY BANK, MYTHOLMROYD AND HEBDEN BRIDGE

3 teams today.....

Redacre
Frank and Stella spent a happy few hours putting steps into a slippery slope up from the stream at Hill House Clough in Redacre Wood, Mytholmroyd, and improving the stream crossing.

The slope beforehand
The stream crossing beforehand

The steps have made the slope a lot easier...
...and you can now cross the stream with dry feet
Stubbing
Dave and rich cut back some of the path in order to reach the bit where the steps are needed.

Path from Stubbing Brink almost impassable

Path now all clear
The path leading up to Horsehold Road has a steep slippery section, so three steps were put in

They may not look pretty but they do the business!
There is still a lot of fern removal to be done on the middle section, but good to see this path coming back.

Path choked by ferns
Thanks to a friend of Stella downsizing, we now have two pairs of top notch waders - useful if the depot is flooded again!

Sam,Dick,Bernard and Graham worked on the steep path at Daisy Bank Mytholmroyd, cutting back vegetation, clearing steps and fitting a three-way waymark post.
Cutting back overhanging bushes.

Clearing wooden steps.

Waymark post fitted.

Clearing through the Bracken.

Cutting through Bilberry .

We shall have to return to fix this wonky stile.
