Dave Dick & Richard J put tread boards & uprights over 2 fences. There is a further fence & boggy section which is planned for next week to complete the job
SHACKLETON
Gerald, Frank and Fred fixed two stiles on a path leading up from Hardcastle Crags to Shackleton.
Before:
Stile 1 (before): Very high step up, loose cross-piece and exposed barbed-wire
Stile 2 (before): Very high step-up.
After:
Stile 1 (after): A stone step and a wooden step added; an extra cross-piece fitted; the sleeved barbed-wire made safe; the long post firmed-up and barbs removed from wire close to stile.
Stile 2 (after): The stone step re-positioned and a wooden step added.
