TODMORDEN & CORNHOLME

7 of us out today.  Nigel and Ginny worked on the steps leading down to the stepping stone crossing above the Bacup road (footpath TOD 102)

It was hard to see where the steps were under all the mud.  Water was coming down all along the hillside, so we dug channels to try and get it off the path.
There's still plenty of mud, but at least the steps have a hard surface now.

Then we went to a footpath we may have worked on before, further up the road.  It wasn't as bad as usual and we were able to scrape away the mulch and allow the water to drain.

Mick, Eleanor and Linda worked at Sharneyford re-erecting marker posts on the Tod Centenary Way link path to Gorpley and Tod 129.

Peter and Ian built a step stile at Cornholme on the history trail.

A new stile was needed here

The first step is installed

... and from below. Now a few steps leading up to it are required.
