PATHS TO LUMB FALLS AND PURPRISE FARM

Ian, Ginny and Rich
Quick cutting back of Calderdale Way sign at Midge Hole on the way.

Two jobs on the route of the new Hebden Bridge Walkers Action 3 walks leaflet.

Path to Lumb Falls.
The side drain is choked with moorland grass and fallen wall stones causing the water to flow on to the path.
Water has been running on this path for weeks
Add on loads of people walking and skidding on it, this popular path has become a real mess.

It was a bit difficult to see what you are doing!

40ft of drain dug out and water seems to be flowing well.

The path is no longer flowing with water, but all the drains on this path need some work doing on them. We will revisit in January to see the effect of what we have done and clear the rest of the drain.

Purprise Farm
Water pouring over the bridleway, the owners had dug a channel but we went back to widen it. No need, they had been out and done the job themselves and the path is already improved.

Brearley Lane
The bottom of this important path was destroyed into the floods. Just heard that contractors working for Highways are on site doing the remedial work.
