Bird Lane, Ripponden

An inauspicious start - horizontal rain, but after a meeting over coffee, turned out very nice.
Eleanor, Lynda, Ginny and Rich tackled this sunken lane that was very overgrown with brambles and running with water.

First job was cutting back to see if there was a drain anywhere

Still no sign of a drain

Finally found stretches of drain but had to cut new bits as well, 

the path was already beginning to dry by the time we left

Need to wait and see what effects the drain has, and deal with the upper section. We will be back!
