Location : Slack
CROWS : Group 1 : Gerald, Frank, Richard P and Terry.
Task : Continuation of clearing causey stones and cutting back the vegetation which overhung the path. A second job of starting to improve the drainage from the water trough

Weather : Quite bright to start with but became windy and cold as the weather forecast predicted.

The major task was to cut back hard the overgrowing vegetation.

The second task was to consider what do do with the water trough to stop water seeping over the path and to check whether the drainage pipe was blocked.

Frank set to to clear the trough of all the vegetation that was growing in the trough.

What he found was the original  place the water came through the wall.

The path has now 30 metres more work to complete.

The drainage from the trough needs more work.

SECOND TEAM ON THE PATH AT HELL HOLE ROCKS
This work is part of the Hebden bridge Loop on the Pennine Way project being done for Hebden Bridge Walkers Action. The path was very overgrown both on the ground and overhead, we got half way up cutting back, dealing with a lot of brambles and heather. We also uncovered some stone flags and a good underlying surface. We need to go back and finish off the cutting back and put in several grooves for taking water off the path.
