Location : Slack
CROWS : Gerald, Alistair, Barbara, Lynda, Richard P and Terry.
Task : Continuation of clearing causey stones and cutting back the vegetation which overhung the path. A second job of putting in a marker post where two paths intersected.

Weather : Quite bright to start with but became windy, cold and rainy as the weather forecast predicted.

Alistair got straight into the job of uncovering the causey steps.

We attempted to widen the path to the width of the stones by cutting back.

You can see the difference our work made and a number of the walkers that went by made very positive comments about our work.

The second job was to position a way marker post at the intersection of two paths nearby.

The ground was very stoney as you would expect on a packhorse trail.

The hole had to be made quite large in diameter for us to get down a suitable depth.

We must remember to go back next time and nail on some plastic arrow markers.
