Weather : some rain during the morning

Task 1 : a broken hinge on the gate needed repairing. The wooden seat needed some TLC. Path down to Callis Mill was checked for part of its length but needs a further visit to cut back overhanging branches on bridlepath.

Task 2 : Path from the road at Easter Cross needed widening and mud clearing/drainage.
Stream crossing needs stepping stones repositioning and fallen tree needs sawing up and removing.

These are the stepping stones we repositioned.

Here is a before and after picture, notice that the tree has gone.

There were areas along the path that were a foot deep in leaf mould.

Here is a before and after photo of just one section we cleared.

Task 3 : From a path off to the left half way up Horsehold Road was a very high stile which needed two lower cross struts (sorry no photo) and way marker on the stile post visible from the road.
