On another sunnyy day, Angus, Linda, Peter and Ginny enjoyed the shade of the lovely woodland above Colden Clough. Some cutting back was needed around two stiles and along a long-lost footpath. Extra waymark posts were also added. The missing footpath was not easy to spot and when we'd cleared back the vegetation and marked the start we realised the folly of not checking the far end first! A fairly level stroll ended in a steep drop down onto the Calderdale Way. After clearing many years of vegetation we discovered a flight of steps, now mostly rotten and have prepared a job sheet for another day's work.

The reason the path was hard to find

The path is cleared and widened.
The steps that had been buried for many years!
Today's work was funded by Blackshaw Head Parish Council. Many thanks.
