HEBDEN BRIDGE - Eaves Wood & Granny Wood

Billie, Ginny and Rich worked on two sites to deal with some reported issues. Parts of the path above Eaves estate needed a good scrape and some waymarking issues sorting.

Then on to the path through Granny Wood which needs some cutting back and widening and several lengths of revetment to secure the edge of the path. That will be another work party session.

This work was funded by the very generous customers of the Fox and Goose who raised over £100 for CROWS. Huge thanks to everyone who contributed.

The details

First job dealing with 2 very deep patches of mire by scraping off the mulch down to the old road surface.

First find the road surface

                                                            Whole section looking good

Then down to clear the path to Eaves Avenue.

Steps and path all cut back

Then down to the bottom end of the path to sort a leaning finger post

Bottom was rotten so cut off and re-seated.

Then on to the path through Granny wood, some initial cutting back, path widening and measuring up for more revetment to secure the path edge.
