Four jobs today for Ginny and Rich.
First . . . cut back the entrance to a path (off Widdop Road) that had been reported as blocked.
Then . . . down to Beckett Close to do some cutting back along the Calderdale Way and to replace a waymark post that had rotted.
Then . . . on to the coffin path past Lily Hall to do more cutting back.
Today's work was funded by donations to CROWS.
The details.
i) The path off the Widdop Road was almost invisible! Laurel was cut back, the steps were cleared, some overhanging bushes were removed and a waymark added.
At the bottom of the path there were two waymark posts - one lying on the ground and the other on its last legs (or is it leg!).
After a lot of digging, we got the old post out and replaced it with a new one.
We hope we will be able to recycle some of the old signage.iii) On the way back we did some cutting back on the old coffin path below Lily Hall.
The path is very narrow in one place and a low waymark post has rotted - problems to tackle on another day.
