On another dull, sunless day Angus, Clare, Neil and Ginny continued the work started last week to clear 'Dark Lane' which goes uphill from Foster Bridge to Hollins and the Heptonstall Road. This is an old packhorse route which has become overgrown with mud, brambles, leaves and overhanging branches.
It is steep, cobbled and slippery, but is now much easier to use.
