TODMORDEN - Near Pex Tenements

What a contrast to the rain of last week!  RJ and Kasher had a second session to improve the path (Todmorden 032) below Pex Tenements, near to the wooden bridge over Ingham Clough.

Last week we managed to retrieve the large 'landing' stone which had slipped down the bank towards the clough. Then, once the stone was in its correct place at the end of the bridge, it was stabilised with a length of revetment.

Today, at the same end of the bridge, we created a platform which we packed with stone and shale from the clough. This should make the path less muddy, and hence safer for walkers. We will keep an eye on this area in case the cattle, heavy-footed at the best of times, create further problems.

Another session at the bridge will let us do more pathwork, replace some cross-treads and cut back overhanging foiliage.

Today's work has been funded by Todmorden Town Council. Many thanks.
