BLACKSHAW HEAD - small jobs round and about

Frank S and Rich tackled a number of small reported waymarking and cutting-back jobs around the village. It was a day of rainbow - rain - sun - rain - sun - rain etc etc. Today's work was funded by Blackshaw Parish Council.

Not a bad way to start

 The details

The first job was to work on the Calderdale Way path up from Bullion Farm to the Chapel. The waymark post was out of the ground and needed reinstating. The causey path was very overgrown and needed a good cut-back. We will return to clear the causey stones so less cutting back will be needed in the future.

At least you can see the path

Next it was up to the junction with the main road to add a new flag to the waymark post and then across the road to remove vegetation from the steps up to the Calderdale Way.

Third site was Blackshaw Royd where we had to rescue a finger-post that was about to disintegrate.

Looking quite sorry for itself!

The flags were secured and waymarks added to make it more visible.
