RIPPONDEN - 2 sites

Linda and Ginny (later joined by Jerry and Rich) went to the bridleway called Quaker Lane to deal with a mammoth task of removing brambles, nettles, balsam and over hanging branches.

Meanwhile Rich and Jerry went up to Cliff Farm below Ringstones to replace a waymark post and some damaged and faded waymarks.

Today's work was funded by Ripponden Parish Council. Many thanks.

The details

Quaker Lane

Brush cutter, hedge cutter and shears all in use.

Overhead lopping for horse riders

The route is now easily passable for all users, but there is also some drainage issues that need attention.

Cliff Farm

The rotted post in the ground, luckily the new one went in ok

Beyond the farm, we replaced several waymarks that had faded or were broken.
