Maggie, Stella and Rich returned to Nutclough to complete the revetment that prevents the path edge from collapsing, to clear some water courses and to sort some very uneven steps.
Work today was funded by Friends of Nutclough.
The details
The stone steps at the back of Sandy Gate had been reported as very awkward to use. One extra step was put in and the remaining stone steps reset.
The old revetment on the edge of the path going from Chapel Avenue into Nutclough had rotted in several places. We replaced four sections to prevent further deterioration. This won't be the last visit!
