On another beautiful June day RJ and Fred were working on the Pennine Bridle Way (PBW).
CROWS have been asked by Natural England to carry out strimming and cutting back on a number of sections of the PBW in the Upper Calder Valley.
Today we completed the PBW sections (Todmorden BW 143 and Todmorden 198) near to Bottomley. We still have three more sections to do to complete this initial phase of strimming and cutting back on these tracks.Thankfully these tracks were not too bad and we did not have to contend with large amounts of bramble or nettles. The paths were widened to allow horses to pass safely but only a limited amount of cutting back was actually required.

The track is now much easier to use. |
