Jerry and Rich installed two waymark posts, put up 6 waymarks, cut back two sections of overgrowth and dealt with a fallen tree. A grand day out! The work was funded by Calderdale Highways and donations to CROWS.
The details
First stop at Lower Butterworth to put in a post and replace a faded waymark.
Then on to Greetland Road where we re-seated a finger post that had rotted and added two waymarks.
Appropriate for the day! It's the first episode of the Gallows Pole on TV! |
At Barsey Green we added a waymark, cut back a tree so the finger post was visible and went to look at a 'lost path' - no sign of it (probably why it's 'lost'), so we will report to Calderdale Council.
Then on to Black Brook below Scammonden Dam. A tree had fallen over a path which is part of the 'Barkisland Ghost Mill Walk'.
