Jan, Jerry and Frank S were on the slopes above Mytholmroyd today, working on the steps at the side of Stephenson House. This is a popular path leading from the bluebell wood up towards the moors. The steps were overgrown and the timbers were slipping out of place or rotten.
We repaired or replaced six or seven steps at the top and more at the bottom, leaving another six or seven in the middle to finish next week. We also cleared the nettles from around the nearby stile to make this a much improved route.
