Calderdale Way link path:
The stone steps at the top end of this short path from Akroyd Lane to Keighley Road at Pecket Bar had seen better days and were out of kilter resulting in a mish mash of steep-sloping angled chunks; difficult for the rambler to fully engage with. Ian S and Paul D set about repositioning and stabilising the said steps, using the existing stone, to enable safer passage.
This work was followed by cutting back the wet, tall grasses, from the path edges to reveal the wide causey stones snaking their way down to the main road.
