A local resident had reported an overgrown stile off the Rochdale Road close to Eleanor's house, so she walked down the road to sort it out !
As you can see , ivy was the main issue here obscuring the entrance and the stile into the field.
A couple of hours later there was a lot less ivy and the entrance to the stile and into the field was more inviting and accessible. A hidden drain at the foot of the steps was revealed which theoretically should take water off the hillside but it was blocked. A job for another day ?
