PECKET WELL - Stoney Lane

Another warm day for Ian S, Rich and Stella to engage in a spot of excavation uncovering more of an old buried stone path.  The clue is in the name - Stoney Lane.  This offers walkers a lovely by-pass round Pecket Well, and links the Keighley Road above the village to the same road and to Ackroyd Lane, just below the old Co-op at the bottom of the village.  CROWS uncovered a long stretch of this lane a few months ago and today we dug out some more.  There is considerably more excavation to do, as well as some cutting back of the rampant July vegetation on either side, so we'll be back!

This work is funded by Wadsworth Parish Council
