Heidi and Ginny, with the help of local residents, sorted out a bridleway problem which involved horses and bikes being faced with an insurmountable flight of steps! What may have been a bridleway a century ago is now a narrow footpath between houses, so, to avoid confusion we re-signed it as a footpath.
This was a mistake and has been rectified. The problems with this route have been referred to Calderdale Council.
We then went further up the clough to Mount Olivet Chapel where the Pennine Way finger-post was lying on the ground. We found a safer place for it and Heidi worked hard on excavating a new hole.
Post now in position

After lunch we moved on to a popular Calderdale Way link path from Woodhouse Road up to Mankinholes. It was overrun with brambles and balsam. No before and after photos, but at least it's easier to find now!
