The stones on Stoney Lane are gradually being exposed.
On Friday 17th July
Mo and Ian V started work on cutting back and widening the path along Stoney Lane in Pecket Well.

Looking up the path before we started |
|
... and looking down |
At the same time
Ian S and Nick started to sort out a drainage problem at the bottom of the path.
|
Some improvements to the drainage needed here |
|
After Ian S and Nick had done their work |
Meanwhile, clearing and cutting back the vegetation was starting to improve the path.
|
After cutting back |
|
Before |
But further down the path it became clear that there were original causey stones underneath the vegetation so
Nick, Ian S, Mo, and Ian V set to work to expose them.
|
Stones starting to be exposed |
It was decided to return the following week on Friday 24th when
Mo, Nick, Paul, and Ian V went back to continue the work. Nice day but hot and heavy work resulted in more of the path being revealed - very satisfying!
|
At the end of the day a good stretch has been completed, ... |
|
.... but there's still more to do so we'll be back! |
