EAVES WOOD.

Bernard, Alastair and Ginny out today.  The first job was to 'replant' a finger post which was leaning against the wall.

(It's straighter than it looks!)

We then continued East through the woods to a lovely path running above and parallel to the Heponstall Road.  Despite how narrow it has now become, it may well have been the main route to Heptonstall in the past.

It was overgrown with brambles, nettles and branches ...

... but was opened out with a lot of cutting back.  Much easier to walk now.
