WALSHAW

Gerald, Ginny, Ken and Ian worked on the path which goes from Walshaw down to the track through the Crags.
There were several versions of this path, but we picked the best one and made it wider and easier to use.  In places it was steep and overgrown.

A return visit will be needed to put in steps.

In another place it was very narrow over an extremely steep drop to the stream below.
Gerald teetering on the brink!

Much safer now it is wider.

Some step clearing was also needed and further down the path we uncovered more steps, so we were obviously on the correct route.

A cleverly built stone step improved this flight.

And the path is now wider and will be much easier to use.
