HARDCASTLE CRAGS

Big Scrape 3 continued. Stuart, Stella, Dave, Dick, Richard J, Gerald, Paul and Rich continuing the work done the day before.

The mulch was 9 inches deep in places!

All cleared off
Making progress

A good stretch completed
Also did some path widening next to some steep drops
Meanwhile back on the Slurring Rock linking path, Fred and Frank H carried three loads of timber ... and equipment ... and personal gear up to the worksite and pitched into construction work.

Work in progress

After lunch, just as matters were going smoothly, we met the bane of a step-builder's day ... bedrock!
Moving swiftly through plans A, B and C we settled on plan D which involved an enormous amount of 'grunt' (well done, Fred) but got us to this near-finished state.
End of the day: eight steps in place
Just some revetment and landscaping to do here, then it's further along the path ... for more steps!
