Gerald, Nigel, Bernard, Eleanor, Ginny and Ken (who joined us for the first time), worked on the Long Distance Walkers path below Gibson Mill.
The first challenge was to find which of the muddy channels had a drainage pipe hidden in it, but we made a guess and eventually found it in the mud.
Bernard and Nigel dug out enough mud for Bernard to have to be dug out with a spade before continuing and then planks were placed in the gully to try and keep it open.
Eleanor and Ginny cleared some steps which hadn't been touched for many years.
Gerald and Ken worked on another set of steps which had become a waterfall. They managed to divert the water to run across instead of down the steps and then cleared them of vegetation.
We finished by exposing a good hard path from under the mud on our way back.
