We continued last weeks work on this path which has been neglected for many years.
Bernard & Richard J added further steps, started last week & cut back the banking to improve the path. (Sorry no photos)
Dick & Fred dismantled an old stile & replaced it whilst Dave Sam & Stella cut back very overgrown holly.
The old stile was on the line of an existing wall so difficulties were encountered finding any points to sink the posts which support the tread board. Eventually the diagonal solution was adopted.
There are still several areas where the path needs improving & in
some places revetment adding. So another work party next week &
maybe one more after that.
