SHORE ABOVE CORNHOLME& WALSDEN

Ian and Nigel were dispatched to reconstruct a stile on Todmorden 061 at Shore above Cornholme

The stile before any work with very unstable uprights and lacking any tread board

Together with the fact that anyone crossing it was liable to end up headlong down a precipitous slope!

The stile reconstructed and re-aligned along the route of the footpath

A dog gate awaits to be installed at the side

Eleanor and Ginny worked nearby on cutting back Todmorden 059 on the Todmorden Centenary Way

Very overgrown

A bit of a struggle for dog walkers - and horses!

You would hardly know it was the same path!

Now much improved.  No photographic evidence of the tunnel of branches, laurel and ivy round the corner which is now cleared to horse height.

Mick and Bernard continued with the construction  of wood steps  above Peacock Lane, Walsden.
