Several large logs were re-positioned to ease the stream flow. Two crossings were created by using stone collected from the stream.
Lower downstream a stone culvert was blocked causing the stream to flood over the path and destroy an adjacent wall. Some work on clearing the blockage was carried out but a Professional second opinion will be needed to sort the problem entirely.
The damaged drystone wall was repaired.
Re visiting site with Jan Gibson from Highways to work out what to do about the drain and lo and behold, after the sleet and snow melt, it is blocked again. But we have the beginnings of a plan.
