Path between Ripponden Old Bank and High Lee Lane ( Day 2)

A sunny day - hooray , but still plenty of mud, mud, glorious mud

Checked the work done last Wednesday and path starting to dry out significantly.
Heroically some of the gang ( Dave,Stella, Frank and Bernard) made even more channels to drain water away from the path and down the hillside, whilst Gerald and Dick widened the path near the start ( off Ripponden Old Bank) and Ruth cut back vegetation to make the finger post more visible.

Dick made a start on a particularly bad patch.

Lunch break in the sun ( who is that shadowy figure?!)

And then the whole team  got stuck in again ( literally) and by the time we left the water was flowing well.

Consensus was we'd come back after a few weeks of dry weather ( yes, really!) and see what more needs to be done. We met a man and his dog on the path who said he uses it every day and was really pleased with the improvements already!
