Whams Wood
Six of us out working on the footpath through Whams Wood above Cragg Vale, part of the Calderdale Long Distance Walkers' route. WET, WET, WET,  so sadly no photos.  But take it from me Dick & Frank did sterling work repairing two stiles, Richard J & Bernard sorted out a number of waymark posts and cleared some very soggy areas of the path.  Gerald and Stella walked to the far side of the wood and removed some deeply embedded and dangerous barbed wire from the footpath, then came back to join in with the drainage improvements.

Meanwhile Dave & Fred stayed warm and dry at our depot in Mytholmroyd getting to grips with the new circular saw, bought to speed up cutting lengths of wood for tread-boards, revetments, posts, stakes etc, and for putting points on the end of posts.
