There was a good turn out at Millfold in the pouring rain to tackle cutting back and ditching on various paths in the area.
The intreprid team consisted of (in no particular order!!!) Gerald, Frank, Stella, Ruth, Eleanor, Barbara, Fred, Dick, Trish (production manager), and a very welcome return to the fold of Bernard. Great to have you back Bernard. Ruth took a team to do the Old Blue Ball Inn path and Dowry/ Swift Place, and Eleanor led the 2nd team to where steps were needed leading down to the old Railway line from Quaker Lane and cutting back in Quaker Lane/ Folly Lane.
A great job was done, and in view of the grim continuous downpour throughout, everyone deserves a medal for the work done. (finances permitting!!)
See pics below:
Sorry, only have pics of 2nd team work, although I'm sure the 1st team also did a splendid award worthy job.!!
Trish
Only have 'after' pics I'm afraid. Such foul weather, totally forget to take 'before pics', but be assured, it's a massive improvement.
We re-sited this signpost, and cleared the path which had previously been obscured.
Barbara in a very fetching rainhat. Very sensible!
Eleanor braving the elements without hat!
The guys pleased with their handiwork! Rightly so.
Then we all went home for an early bath!!!!
