Location : Bean Hole Woods, Todmorden Centenary Way.
CROWS : Mick, Gerald, Lynda, Eleanor, Ginny, Peter and Terry
Tasks : Ginny, Peter and Terry were tasked with looking at two water sources and finding a solution to both.

This is a before picture of a site we have visited previously. Two streams merge here and yet after recent floods there seems no outlet into the stream on the far side of the path to the right.

After dredging the main pool Peter decided that the culvert or pipe needed to be further into the field.

The more we dug down the more the water seemed to rise. At one point we thought we had found the pipe and the water began to subside only to begin to rise again.

This is where Peter thinks the culvert is.

So after three and a half hours of work this is what the site looked like. Not much change is there?

Its only when you look at it from this point you can see what we did. We made it worse!!!!

Ginny meanwhile was cutting back at another site where water had encroached onto the path. Her task was to cut back the holly bush to see where the source of the water was.

It turned out that it was just a low point in a field with a break in the dry stone wall. Not much we can do about that either.
