As you can see the weather was very unpleasant but we set out with the intention of completing the job.

 The first section to be cleared was about 50m long.

 We tried to expose the complete width of the stones.

You can see how much turf we had to take off on this section alone.

After a meeting with the landowner we had to take up the stone footpath we had placed across the muddy gateway and take out one of the way marker posts we had put up.
