There were two teams out from Todmorden today.
Team 1: Ian V and Andrew, assisted by Mick, replaced a stile on Tod 106 off Dog House Lane. This popular path goes through a number of fields currently containing sheep and comes out above Dobroyd Castle near to Stones. Dogs on leads please. We will be back to improve the next stile on Tod 106 in the coming months.
Team 2: Catherine and Kasher continued the cutting back and clearing of Tod 009 off Duke Street which was started on Wednesday. This is another of the routes in the area which is easier to walk up than to walk down! The stone steps are extremely slippery in wet conditions. Its interesting to see the route lined with Victorian (?) lamp posts. Check out the stone steps to see how many of these have been turned. We will return to improve the way marking at the top of this route as it enters Eastwood Lane.
Today's work has been funded by Todmorden Town Council. Many thanks
